Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 18, 2026
General Information
FERAL is an independent design and material research studio based in Madrid, specialising in the development of bio-based materials and their application in objects and limited-production pieces.
These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase of products sold directly by FERAL through www.designingferal.com and the payment links provided for this purpose.
By placing an order, the customer accepts the terms made available before completing the purchase, without prejudice to their rights under applicable law.
Nature of the Products
FERAL products are the result of original design processes, material experimentation and small-scale production.
Some pieces are unique or belong to limited series. They may feature variations in colour, texture, transparency, thickness, shape or finish arising from the characteristics of the materials and their manufacturing processes.
Where adequately described in the product information, these characteristics form part of the identity of the pieces and do not, in themselves, constitute manufacturing defects.
Product photographs are provided for illustrative purposes. FERAL makes reasonable efforts to represent products accurately, although differences may occur due to lighting conditions or individual screen settings.
Essential characteristics, dimensions, materials and care recommendations will be provided in the relevant product description where applicable.
Material variations do not restrict the customer’s statutory rights in the event of a lack of conformity.
Availability and Orders
All products are subject to availability.
Due to the limited nature of certain pieces and the possibility of sales through multiple channels, occasional discrepancies may arise between displayed stock and actual availability.
If, exceptionally, a purchased product cannot be supplied, FERAL will inform the customer and refund the amounts paid for that product, without prejudice to any rights available under applicable law.
FERAL may refuse orders before acceptance for justified reasons, including obvious pricing or product information errors, inability to fulfil delivery or reasonable suspicions of fraud, within the limits permitted by law.
Prices and Taxes
Prices are expressed in euros (€) and include applicable taxes where required by law.
Shipping costs are calculated separately and communicated before checkout.
The customer will be informed of the total amount payable before confirming the order.
FERAL may change published prices at any time. Such changes will not affect purchases already concluded.
Purchasing and Payment Methods
Purchases made directly from FERAL may be paid for using the payment methods available on the website, including services provided by Stripe.
An order becomes binding once the purchasing process has been completed and its acceptance has been confirmed.
The customer will receive confirmation of the purchase on a durable medium, normally by email, containing the information required by law.
FERAL does not store complete payment card details.
Shipping and Delivery
FERAL ships to destinations expressly enabled during the purchasing process.
Shipping costs are payable by the customer unless expressly stated otherwise.
Any delivery times identified as estimates may vary due to logistical circumstances beyond FERAL’s control.
FERAL does not guarantee delivery on specific dates unless expressly agreed.
Delivery will take place within the agreed period or, where no other period has been agreed, within the statutory maximum of 30 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract.
In the event of a delivery issue or delay, the customer may contact FERAL to resolve the matter in accordance with their statutory rights.
The risk of loss or damage during transportation remains with FERAL until the product is physically delivered to the customer or a third party designated by them, subject to the exceptions established by law.
The customer must provide a correct and complete delivery address. Additional costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer may be charged where legally permitted and duly disclosed.
Right of Withdrawal and Returns
Where the customer qualifies as a consumer, they will generally have 14 calendar days from receipt of the product to withdraw from the purchase without providing a reason, subject to any legally applicable exceptions.
To exercise this right, the customer must communicate their decision to info@designingferal.com before the withdrawal period expires. They may use the withdrawal form provided at the end of these Terms & Conditions or any other unequivocal statement.
The customer must return the product within 14 calendar days of communicating their decision to withdraw.
The direct costs of returning a product following withdrawal are borne by the customer. FERAL does not offer free collection services for voluntary returns.
Returned products must be adequately packaged and protected against damage during transportation.
The customer is responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
FERAL does not require products to remain completely untouched or unexamined in order to recognise the statutory right of withdrawal.
The fact that a piece is unique, handmade or part of a limited edition does not, in itself, exclude the right of withdrawal.
Where a statutory exception to the right of withdrawal applies, the customer will be expressly informed before entering into the contract.
Refunds
In the event of a valid withdrawal, FERAL will refund all amounts required by law, including the original standard delivery costs where applicable.
Additional costs arising from a more expensive delivery option voluntarily selected by the customer will not be refunded in the circumstances permitted by law.
Refunds will be issued within 14 calendar days of receiving the customer’s withdrawal notification.
FERAL may withhold the refund until the returned product has been received or sufficient evidence of its return has been provided, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless another legally valid arrangement is expressly agreed.
Defective Products and Statutory Warranty
FERAL products are covered by the statutory guarantee of conformity provided under applicable consumer protection legislation.
For consumer goods sold under Spanish law, FERAL is liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within three years of delivery.
Where a lack of conformity exists, the customer may exercise the remedies available under applicable law, including repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract, as appropriate.
Remedies required under the statutory guarantee will be provided free of charge to the consumer.
Material variations inherent to a piece, where properly described and forming part of its agreed characteristics, do not automatically constitute a lack of conformity.
Damage caused exclusively by impacts, accidents, improper handling, use contrary to the instructions provided or unauthorised interventions is not covered by the statutory guarantee where it does not result from a lack of conformity attributable to the seller.
To report an issue, the customer may contact info@designinferal.com , providing the order reference and a description of the problem. Photographs may assist in assessing the issue.
Repairs and Maintenance
FERAL encourages the care and preservation of its pieces.
Outside situations covered by the statutory guarantee, FERAL may assess requests for repair or maintenance on an individual basis, depending on the condition of the piece, material availability and technical feasibility.
Any such service is voluntary and subject to prior acceptance of the applicable conditions and any costs communicated.
Transportation costs associated with voluntary repairs will be borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
FERAL does not guarantee the indefinite availability of materials, components or repair services.
These provisions do not affect obligations arising under the statutory guarantee.
Use and Care
Products must be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the care instructions provided.
Certain materials may require specific precautions regarding moisture, high temperatures, prolonged sunlight exposure, chemical substances or mechanical stress.
Where relevant to a particular product, these limitations will be indicated in its description or accompanying documentation.
FERAL will not be responsible for damage arising exclusively from clearly improper use or use contrary to the instructions provided, without prejudice to any liability imposed by applicable law.
Liability
FERAL will be responsible for breaches and damages legally attributable to it.
FERAL will not assume liability for circumstances beyond its control where such exclusion is permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes the consumer’s non-waivable statutory rights or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Personal Data Protection
Personal data provided during the purchasing process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Customers may consult the Privacy Policy for further information about how their personal data is processed and how to exercise their rights.
